Step aboard for a mini-adventure by train and bike on the banks of the Seudre

Your adventure starts at 9.45 when you board the train with your bike at Saujon. You will get off the train at Mornac sur Seudre, classed as one of the most beautiful villages in France. There, a guide will be waiting to take you by bike to Chaillevette, a historic oyster village.
You will learn about the region’s history, the countryside and all the treasures it contains before returning by train to Saujon at 12.50.

Important information

Dates: 17 May – 14 and 28 June – 10, 17, 24 and 31 July – 7, 14, 21 and 28 August. Booking essential

Fares: Adults:19€ Children:13€ . (children must be 12 or over) – pre-booked places only – Bring your own bike

Group size: 4 -15 people max. (children must be 12 or over) – If the trip is cancelled due to insufficient numbers, you will be notified 1 hour before depature time.
Children under the age of 12 are only permitted if they travel on a seat behind an adult.

Itinerary:
Saujon 9.45am – Mornac sur Seudre 10.15am: travel by train (diesel locomotive)
Travel by bike from Mornac sur Seudre to Chaillevette (approx. 7Km) accompanied by a guide. 12.00pm: Arrival at Chaillevette station for the return trip to Saujon by train (steam engine): 12.50pm: Return to Saujon station

In case of very bad weather or an amber weather warning, the trip will be cancelled.

Disabled access: One carriage on the train has been specially adapted for disabled passengers: 6 available spaces for wheelchairs and 10 seats for carers. The carriage is equipped with an electronic lift. This carriage is for the use of disabled passengers only.

Bikes: Bikes are carried free of charge in the dedicated carriage. Bikes must be loaded under the supervision of the train manager. Cycle routes

Pushchairs: Folding pushchairs can be carried on the train. In busy periods you may be asked to fold the pushchair and store in it in the carriage for bikes.

Pets: Dogs are allowed on board. They must travel on your lap or at your feet. Please keep your dog on a leash and respect the surroundings and your fellow passengers.

Parking: Customer parking is available at all our stations
