Heritage Days

The European Heritage Days are taking place on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September 2024

During these 2 days, we will be showcasing several types of engines: You could find your train pulled by one of our diesel locomotives or a steam engine. You could even travel in a 3rd class passenger train from the beginning of the 20th century! Once again, we will be offering return tickets at the reduced price of 5€ all day long for all our passengers. Travel remains free for children under 4
Booking is highly recommended during these 2 days – some of our departures may be full.

The accessible carriage for our disabled passengers travelling with a wheelchair will only be available on the following trains: 9.45 from Saujon / 11.30 from La Tremblade / 14.45 from Saujon

For those who want to learn more about our railway, the engine sheds at Chaillevette station are open for guided tours from 10.00 – 18.00. Tours are led by our volunteers and are free of charge. Visits to the engine shed can be made without booking.
Tours will take place in small groups and in order of arrival. You will be able to see a Fives Lille locomotive from 1910 (listed as an historic monument) being restored as well as many other projects.

Tickets for trains are available from 2 September.
